Our main aim is to undertake neuroscientific research work that is of
a superlative quality when judged by global benchmarks. We strive to
excel in this endeavour despite all the constraints of finances, equipment,
logistics and infrastructure that are endemic to the Third World; and in
our own small way try to enhance the functioning of India in this tiny
domain of ours to the status of a fully developed First World nation. Even
as we achieve the best possible in the prevailing circumstances, we ensure
that at the very minimum our output finds a place in terms of quality in
the uppermost echelons of the global work on the neurological sciences.

The core work at our institution relates to Consciousness Research, with
some components of Complex Systems and Neuroscience. Currently, we perform
our research work at our field unit's station located at Post Mulgaon,
Taluka Vasai, District Thane in the Maharashtra state of the Union of India.
In the very near future, upon completion of the preliminary stage of
construction of our hospital and research institute, the Centre for
Neuroscientific Studies will shift to a more permanent location.

Apart from our basic and clinical neuroscientific research, we intend to serve
as a forum for the interdisciplinary interaction and exchange of ideas across
several streams linking to neuroscience, whether in the natural sciences or
the social sciences. An integral part of our mission involves instruction at
at all levels in the neurosciences through our team of experts. Moreover, there
are also several patient-education and community instruction schedules on the
drawing board that will serve as conduits of information and assistance to the
general public; with particular emphasis upon instruction of students with ten
to twelve years of education.

Our area of specialisation is in the field of research in behavioural and
social neurosciences especially as it relates to the study and practice of
religious precepts and principles. While there does exist an element of
comparative religious research herein, it is restricted only in as much
as the study design conforms to the rigmarole of neuroscientific research.
Essentially, the purely philosophical and/or theological study of comparative
religion is beyond our scope as we are a scientific institution.
